Cannery Village is a 44 unit affordable rental community on the East Side of the Town of Berlin, MD. This community is under development with an anticipated commencement date of October 2014. The community consists of 45 lots with 44 rental homes, 38 of which are 4 bedroom 2 bath houses and the remaining 6 units 2 bedroom 1 bath homes. The 45th lot is a community building that is designed to match the other homes with a community room, cyber café, library and general gathering space plus the leasing office. Each home has its own planned front door, driveway, patio and front porch with storage. Rents will range from approximately $400 to $900 per month. After the first 15 years the tenants will be offered to purchase their rental homes for a monthly mortgage equal to their monthly rent.
