Merlin Centre for Hypnosis & Enlightenment Inc. is located in Greensboro in the Irving Park Area. The Centre offer programs on Smoking Cessation, Weight Management, Sleep Improvement, Fears, Procrastination, Chronic Pain Management, Manage Situational Stress, Nail Biting, Grief Management, Increase Memory Skills, Apprehensions, Study Habits, Relaxation, Hypno-Anesthesia, Self-Confidence, Self-Control, Enhance Personal Skills, Personal Organization, Promote Wellness, Persuasive Skills, Enhance Sales Skills, Goal Setting, Unwanted Habits, Sports Attainment Goals, , Hypno-Birthing, Hypnotic Virtual Gastric Band Weight Reduction Program, Spiritual Awareness, Life Between Lives and Past Life Regression. Many other problems can be helped with Hypnotism that may not respond to other modalities. It has been a tremendous help to thousands of people with many different issues worldwide. Even Catherine Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, used hypnosis to help overcome problems relating to morning sickness and to help change her eating habits. She also used Hypno-Birthing for her childbirth.
The Academie Nationale de Medicine, the official governing body for medicine in France, looked at 400 alternative therapies and concluded that only hypnosis and three other “complementary therapies” and these four alone, had their uses. Hypnosis, which has been given the seal of approval by the Academy, is now included in the care program being used in the AP-HP hospitals in Paris as of 2012.

The Director of the Center is Robert Michael Merlin BA,CH,LBLt,NLPp,MHt, Consulting Hypnotist, Board Certified Master Hypnotist, Board Certified Life Between Lives and Past Life Regressionist, Transpersonal NLP Practitioner and Board Certified Every Word Has Power Life Coach. He is Board Certified by The National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists and is a registered member of The National Board of Professional and Ethical Standards, North Carolina Hypnosis Association, The Professional Board of Hypnotherapy Inc., The American Board of Hypnotherapy, International Association of Counselors and Therapists, International Association for Regression Research and Therapies Inc. National Guild of Hypnotists Inc. and is a union member of the National Federation of Hypnotists AFL-CIO Local 104.
Mr. Merlin is also a certified hypnosis trainer with the NATH. His classes include certification in Beginning Hypnosis (CHt), Master Hypnotist (MHt), Life Between Lives and Mastering The Business of Hypnosis: How to achieve a six figure income. He also does one day workshops for businesses on better relations between management and employees and seminars on meditation, stress reduction and the meaning of hypnosis in our life’s purpose.
